Brockton Area Arc and business: A partnership you can count on

The Brockton Area Arc's employment service program does business as The Shoe City Contract Company.

The Shoe City Contract Company assists over 100 adults to prepare for, achieve and maintain gainful employment. Program participants may work in our facility providing subcontract labor to area businesses, or may work within the community.

For over 30 years we have worked with employers and businesses, providing quality subcontract labor services as well as dependable employees to meet the labor needs of businesses. We also operate two businesses of our own: a redemption center and a yard work company. These businesses not only provide employment and job training, but they also increase the community's awareness of the valuable contributions that people with disabilities are able to make in our society.

For individuals whose lives are becoming less focused on work, we also offer Community Based Day Supports. Since July 2002, adults who prefer to work part-time are able to use the rest of their program day to participate in community based social and recreational activities, such as: senior lunch programs and art classes.
