See you next year. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT The Brockton Area Arc is pleased to announce that as of July 1, 2010, our agency is the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Family Support Center for the Brockton area. We are currently recruiting a Family Support Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting families that have a child or adult member with disabilities. Support includes, but is not limited to, development of Family Support Plans, Information and Referral, support groups, family training, recreation and social opportunities, administration of Flexible Funding, and Service Navigation. Fund Raising: Each year BAArc organizes a variety of fund raising activities throughout the community. The revenue earned during these events is vital to the continued success of our programs. BAArc operates an Employment Services Program, offering both placement assistance in local businesses and job opportunities at our own Shoe City Contract Company. BAArc's Day Habilitation Program provides therapeutic programming for adults with developmental disabilities. The day habilitation service model is ideal for tailoring a program specific to each individual program member’s needs. BAArc's Family to Family Support Center provides an active information, education and referral service to all members of the community. Vehicle Donation Program: The Arc of Massachusetts and its chapters are pleased to announce a new Vehicles Donation Program. All chapters of The Arc of Massachusetts can now accept car donations as another method to increase funds to expand our advocacy and support. This is being done as a collaborative activity through the state chapter. The process takes minutes and is completely done through The Arc of Massachusetts website. To find out if your used vehicle qualified, just go to our website, www.arcmass.org, and click on the car in the left-hand column. Follow the instructions. Please remember to designate The Arc of Massachusetts, Brockton as the selected charity when you are linked.
